Date: 30Jul2004Affects: Telus users
Telus has recently changed their network, adding a filter that restricts any outbound mail so that it must use the Telus SMTP servers.
If you have been using MediaWeb's SMTP server, (mail.yourdomain.com) for sending mail, and you are a Telus customer, you will experience a service disruption sending email.
You will have to change your SMTP server on your local mail program to use the SMTP server that Telus specifies. According to their website on July 30, 2004, this server is: smtp.telus.net
Note that this will not affect inbound (POP3) mail, and it will not affect using the IMail Web interface.
