Leech FTP

In spite of its rather unusual name, this is a nice little FTP program. Best of all it's a freebie and easily available on the internet.

When your FTP site is setup, you will receive an email from your friendly LavaBox Tech Support person giving you the information necessary to logon.

Typically this will include:

  • Host Name
  • Userid
  • Password
  • Remote Folder name
    • only if you have signed up for the Silver hosting plan.

Start up your program and follow these steps.

 

Create a New Bookmark

1) Click on the picture of the book with a bookmark sticking out of the bottom.  That will generate a menu that's illustrated in figure 2.

Click on "Edit" and on the resultant menu, click "Add Bookmark." You will see the menu shown in Figure 3 below.

1) Enter the "Host Name" from the setup Email into the box labeled "Host or URL"

2) Enter the "Userid" from setup Email into the box labeled "Username"

3) Enter the "Password" from the setup Email into the box labeled "Password"

4) Enter the "Remote Folder Name" from the setup Email into the box labeled "Remote Directory"

5) Click the OK button and you'll be presented with the list of bookmarks as illustrated below in Figure 4.

Your settings have been saved in the "Bookmarks" section.

Double-Click on the bookmark you created (as represented in the right hand window above) and you will be connected to your website where you can upload your content.
